Application & Usage Guidelines
Area of Applications
- Floor and walls.
- Internal & external area.
- Domestic applications.
- Commercial applications with wider tile joints up to 6 mm.
- Ceramic tile, vitreous, semi-vitreous tile, glass mosaic tiles, terrazzo, brick, marble, natural stone and agglomerate stone installation.
Precautions
- Do not apply on wet/damp tile joints. Always apply on completely dry tile joints.
- Do not over-mix the material. Over-mixing can reduce the pot life.
- Do not allow grout to harden on the face of the tile. Clean promptly.
- While cleaning, change the water frequently. Change cleaning cloth/sponge when they are impregnated with grout.
- Do not allow water to flow/run into un-grouted joints while application.
- Protect from direct rainfall/foot traffic for at least 24 hours.
- In case of grouting natural stones, it is necessary to execute a preliminary test, in order to verify the absorption of colour by the stone slabs. To avoid this problem, mask the tiles before grouting. A sealer or grout release may be required.
Application Instructions
- Ensure 24 hours time interval for grouting after tile fixing.
- The joints must be dry, clean, free of dust & adhesive.
- Emptied at least 2/3 of the tile thickness depth.
- Before grouting, make sure that the adhesive has set and released most of its moisture.
- The joints should not be wet during work.
- Put masking tape by the side of the grouting space or sealer if necessary.
How to Mixing
- Add GC Grout to GC Grout Admixed proper amount and mix it with a slow speed mixer or by hand thoroughly.
- Avoid entraining air by mixing at very high speed or by over-mixing.
- Dampen tile surface with water. Spread with a sharp, firm rubber grout float.
- Make sure that uniform colour & lumps-free consistency is achieved.
- Use the paste within 60 minutes from mixing.
