MARBOFIX ADHESIVE
GC MARBOFIX (T4 WHITE) is a white cement-based, high-polymer modified, high-strength adhesive for fixing light-colored natural stones, glass mosaics, and tiles on walls and floors in both interior and exterior situations. It can be applied up to 6 mm bed thickness (can be averaged up to 12 mm in final bed thickness). MARBOFIX (WHITE) is deformable and can accommodate shocks due to impact load and heavy traffic. The set adhesive is water-resistant and non-slip.
CONFORMS TO: IS: 15477 - 2019 (Type-II White)
COVERAGE: Approx. 5 to 6 m2 / 20 Kg bag at 3 mm bed thickness.
*Coverage will vary depending on trowel notch size, tile size/type, and substrate smoothness and evenness.

Application & Usage Guidelines
Area of Applications
Suitable for flooring and wall installations in both internal and external areas.
- Floor and walls.
- Internal and external areas.
- Dry and wet areas.
- Swimming pools.
- Terraces and balconies.
- Vibration areas (Lift area).
- The joint width shall be as per the recommendation of the architect/engineer.
- Remove the spacers when the adhesive is set firm.
- Always use grout (Normal or Epoxy Grout) between joint width tiles/stones.
Precautions
Important safety and usage guidelines to ensure durability and long-term performance of the installation.
- Do not apply directly to drywall partitions, plywood, wood derivatives, decorative laminates, metal, plastic, or highly deformable surfaces subject to vibrations.
- Do not use in damp conditions or at temperatures less than 5°C.
- Never add sand or cement at site.
- Adhesives for ceramic tile, brick, and stone are not designed as replacements for waterproof coatings.
- Do not add excess water beyond the recommended amount.
- Keep out of reach of children. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves, and eye/face protection.
- After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of clean water. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical advice.
Application Instructions
Ensure the substrate and surface preparation are done properly to achieve optimum bonding and long-term durability.
- The substrate must be level, cured, undamaged, compact, rigid, resistant, dry, and free from any debonding agents and from rising damp.
- New Concrete Bases: Before commencing tiling, ensure that bases have been allowed to air dry for at least 2-3 weeks.
- Suitable for tiling in the service conditions to which it will be exposed.
- New concrete slabs shall be damp cured and 28 days old before application.
- *No minimum cure time for concrete slabs when thin-set mortar is mixed with latex additive.
- Expansion joints shall be provided through the tile work at all construction or expansion joints in the substrate.
- Do not cover expansion joints with thin-set mortar
How to Mix
- Use approximately 4.5 - 5 L of water for 20 kg of powder.
- Before applying, place clean, potable water into a clean mixing bowl.
- Adjust the water as per desired consistency. No further water should be added.
- Leave the mixture for 5 minutes before use.
- Allow the mixed adhesive to polymerize for 2-5 minutes and mix again for 30 seconds.
