UNIFIX TILE ADHESIVE
GC UNIFIX (T2 GREY) is a polymer-based grey tile adhesive used for fixing ceramic, vitrified tiles, tile-on-tile, and natural stones on interior floors, walls, and external floors. It is suitable for both horizontal & vertical surfaces over cementitious substrates for indoor applications. The set adhesive is water-resistant and suitable for showers and bathrooms.
COVERAGE: Approx. 5 to 5.5 m2 / 20 Kg bag at 3 mm bed thickness.
*Coverage will vary depending on trowel notch size, tile size/type, and substrate smoothness and evenness.

Application & Usage Guidelines
Area of Applications
Suitable for flooring and wall installations in both internal and external areas.
- Apply on flooring and walls for internal & external floor area applications.
- Can be used up to a maximum 12mm bed thickness.
- The joint width shall be as per the recommendation of the architect / engineer.
- Remove the spacers when the adhesive is set firm.
- Always use grout (Normal & Epoxy Grout) between joint width tiles / stones.
Precautions
Important safety and usage guidelines to ensure durability and long-term performance of the installation.
- Do not use for fixing artificial, nano, engineered stone, composites, or metal tiles.
- Adhesives for ceramic tiles, bricks, and stone are not designed as replacements for waterproof coatings.
- Do not apply directly on gypsum plaster, cement boards, plywood, chipboard, laminates, or deformable surfaces.
- Avoid using on metal, plastic, or vibration-prone areas.
- Never add sand or cement at site.
- Do not add excess water beyond the recommended limit.
- Protect the surface from direct rainfall and foot traffic for at least 24 hours after application.
- Keep out of reach of children. Use protective gloves, clothing, and eye/face protection.
- In case of skin contact, wash immediately with plenty of clean water.
- If contact occurs with eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical advice.
Application Instructions
Ensure the substrate and surface preparation are done properly to achieve optimum bonding and long-term durability.
- All surfaces should be between 40°F (4°C) and 104°F (40°C), structurally sound, clean, and free of dirt, oil, grease, loose paint, laitance, sealers, or curing compounds.
- The substrate must be level, cured, undamaged, compact, rigid, resistant, dry, and free from any debonding agents or rising damp.
- New concrete slabs should be damp cured and at least 28 days old before tile installation to reduce shrinkage.
- No minimum cure time is required for concrete slabs when thin-set mortar is mixed with a latex additive.
- Provide expansion joints throughout the tile work from all construction or substrate expansion joints.
- Do not cover or fill expansion joints with thin-set mortar.
How to Mix
- Use approximately 5 - 5.5 L of water for a 20 kg bag of powder.
- Before applying, place clean, potable water into a clean mixing bowl.
- Adjust the water as per desired consistency.
- No further water should be added once mixed.
- Leave the mixture to rest for 5 minutes before use.
- Allow the mixed adhesive to polymerize for 2–5 minutes and then mix again for 30 seconds.
